Porter – Full Time Full-Time

North Westchester Restorative Therapy and Nursing has several openings for Full-Time Porters.

This position is full-time and offers 1199 Union benefits.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide cleaning and maintenance services to our facility
• Perform routine preventive cleaning activities including dusting, mopping of resident areas and restocking cleaning supplies as needed
• Clean light fixtures.
• Handle and dispose of litter, garbage and recycling.
• Assist with routine building and facility maintenance,
• Assist with moving furniture and other objects.

• Sweeps, dusts, dust mops, and wet mops all floors and stairways; spot cleans and vacuums floors, rugs, carpets and runners.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and polishes both lavatory, shower and sink fixtures and facilities; stocks dispensers as necessary.

• Dusts, washes, sponge mops, sanitizes cleans and polishes glass surfaces, woodwork, walls, and windowsills.
• Scrubs bath and shower room tiles, woodwork, window frames and sills.
• Maintains equipment and materials needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition.
• Reports any needed repairs to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds
