Customary Duties

Ensures accuracy in documentation and information provided to physicians, residents and their responsible parties
Responsible for management of preventative wound program and wound treatment programs
Conduct wound rounds weekly.
Completes the weekly wound analysis report
Provides patient, family and staff education regarding wound management, prevention of pressure ulcers, support services and other therapies.
Provides patient, family and staff education
Will be a resource person for physicians and clinical staff.
Schedule and Conduct facility in-services in conjunction with DOH guidelines and clinical needs of the facility.

Requirements

Registered Nursing in New York
Minimum of 2-years experience in a SNF
Organized and detail-oriented
Flexible and dependable
Able to work in a timeline
Able to work independently & efficiently
MDS knowledge
Familiar with Electronic Medical Records
Additionally is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Participates in the performance improvement plan of the organization.
